“I (Silas Christian, IV) feel that FWV program is a critical
element needed in our society today. Many children are raised in single parent homes where the mother has primary custody.
This isn’t always the best situation for the child; FWV gave me an opportunity to understand my rights as a father and
how to approach the court system. This is turn help me to gain primary custody of my son. In my case, the courts saw that
I was the more responsible parent. Without FWV I don’t know if I would have had the confidence to go about seeking custody
of my son. I now would tell any father that is dealing with custody issues to not sell yourself short and keep striving because
you know what is best for the child.”
